FAQ

Questions about CAP?

There seems to be 2 other programs with the CAP acronym, are they part of your organization?

No, we began and registered our business, College Audition Pro, in 2010, long before the other businesses started. Although, we have not yet pursued name infringement litigation we have the rights to this name and should not be confused with the 2 other entities.

How many students do you work with?

Through the years of coaching, we have devised a program geared for the most success. Because our process is very time consuming, we limit the number of students we contract with to no more than 25.

How long is the cap program?

We offer Consultations from January through early June. We generally start working with Rising Seniors in March or April, after our current Seniors have finished their auditions. Our Contract goes through May 1st, National Decision Day, of the following year, or longer if there is a Waitlist involved.

Do you only offer a year contract

Our methodology is very strategic and specific, with personal attention to all aspects. Consequently we only offer a Year Contract and do not offer an Ala Carte Menu.

What is the cost of College Audition Pro?

We begin with an Hour Long Zoom Consultation in which we review the student’s academic stats, resume, potential school list, what they are looking for in their University Theatre Experience and what we do to help families navigate this process. During the Consultation we discuss our Year Contract, the cost, and our payment schedule.

What is the cost of the consultation?

We consider our Consultation a “Crash Course on the College Audition Process”. Before we meet we will review your resume, academics, and potential school list. If you have sent in audition material to SUTE we will review that and our auditors’ assessments. During the Consultation we will describe, in detail, what the College Audition Process entails, the Timeline we advise you keep, and advice on what you should focus and work on. Within 24 hours after the Consultation you will receive our Year Contract. If you decide we are not the right fit we will send you and invoice for $200 for our time and the detailed information we shared. Although we do not record the Consultations you are more than welcomed to take notes.

Do you offer Scholarships for your year contract?

Yes, scholarships are offered to Need-Based students for our Year Contract.

Do I need to audition to be part of your program?

Most of our students attend SUTE, for which there is an audition.

Do i have to attend SUTE to work with cap?

No, we accept students through referrals and those who have found us online.

DO YOUR STUDENTS RECEIVE SCHOLARSHIP MONEY FROM THE SCHOOLS THEY ARE ACCEPTED INTO?

Absolutely YES! We can proudly said each year up to 100% of our students receive Scholarships including Full Rides, Presidential Scholarships and large Talent Awards!

Do you work with younger students?

Yes! We are happy to meet with current Freshman and Sophomores to strategize on how to best to utilize and prepare during those years effectively.

What’s the best way to get in touch with you to schedule a consultation"?
